It is based at a domestic site in Danbury (to the east of Chelmsford). Our thanks go to
W&S and Icom for assisting in its rapid entry into service.

- Input: 430.4875 MHz, Output: 439.4875 MHz
- Further details are here
- Initial operation is local RF only
- Its Internet Gateway facility is under construction (See it in the Gallery) and will be added in Phase-2
GB3CMS 10GHz Beacon Upgrade
A major refurbishment of GB3CMS is currently underway,
in collaboration with UK Microwave Group.
ERG recently took delivery of a new PA to go with the new source modules.
Work is underway to reconfigure the keyer to accept the 108.01MHz reference oscillator and new masthead units.
The antenna has had its wings repaired and the roof area cleared of excess antennas nearby.

GB3DB 6m Repeater
The current antenna was recently replaced following high winds - and the spare is in use, for now.
Previous Lightning damage to the main heliax means that the auxiliary control feeder is currently in use for the repeater,
and the extra loss reduces sensitivity and power somewhat.
Three new earth rods and two anti-surge gas discharge tubes have been added with
further antenna and feeder work in hand to restore it to better health and coverage/sensitivity.
GB3DB continues to operate with its logic set to emitting CTCSS-over-Idents.
CTCSS-Only Access - Be Prepared !
Preparation work which includes a new GB3ER and refurbished remote control is progressing (slowly)
ahead of the changeover to CTCSS-only access.
During the Oct-2005 AGM it was explained that continuous
CTCSS-only access (as per 6m) will be introduced - Toneburst access will no longer be supported.
This will enable us to offer better audio and reliability, and
follows a trial exercise on GB3DA during August-2002.
