ERG was founded on Jan-10 1975. The 70cm repeater GB3ER was first on air on Sept-5 1976 sited at the former Marconi Research tower on Danbury Ridge. ERG withdrew from the old site in Nov-1996 (relocating to our current Danbury Church site in Summer 1997). The increasingly unsafe old tower was demolished.
